Privacy Policy
Splattr, Inc. ("Splattr," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information in connection with your use of our platform and related services, available at www.splattr.ai (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Account information. Your name, email address, password, and payment details when you create an account or subscribe.
Uploaded content. Documents, lists, and other materials you submit to the Service ("User Content"), such as marketing materials and account or prospect lists, which you provide for processing by the Service (for example, to configure agents or generate research). You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to provide such content.
Automatically collected information. Usage data (such as features used and session metadata), device and technical data (such as browser, operating system, and IP address), and information from cookies and similar technologies.
Information from third parties. Limited information from integrated services (such as authentication and billing providers) to facilitate account creation, payment, and service delivery.
2. INFORMATION ABOUT BUSINESS CONTACTS
As part of the Service, Splattr aggregates and derives business information about companies and professionals (such as names, job titles, business contact details, and publicly available business signals) from publicly available and third-party business sources. With respect to this information, Splattr acts as an independent controller. We use it to provide sales intelligence, research, and scoring to our customers. We do not disclose our data sources.
If you are a business contact whose information appears in the Service, you may have rights described in Section 9, including the right to access, correct, or delete your information or to opt out of its processing. To exercise these rights, contact help@splattr.ai.
3. HOW WE USE INFORMATION
- To provide and operate the Service, including account management, credit allocation, AI processing, and support.
- To process User Content through our AI systems to generate research, prospect scores, and related insights, only as necessary to deliver the requested functionality.
- To improve and develop the Service, by analyzing aggregated and anonymized usage data to enhance performance and our algorithms.
- To communicate with you, including administrative, billing, and security messages.
- To ensure security and compliance, detect fraud or abuse, and meet legal obligations.
4. ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND MACHINE LEARNING
We process User Content through our own and third-party AI models solely to provide the Service to you. We do not use your User Content to train machine-learning models that benefit other customers. In the future, we may use anonymized, aggregated usage patterns — with all personally identifiable information permanently removed before any data enters a training pipeline — to improve our scoring algorithms. Your individual User Content is never shared with, or used to directly benefit, any other customer, and you may opt out of aggregate data contribution at any time in your account settings. AI outputs are statistical and may be inaccurate; they are provided for informational purposes and are not a substitute for your own judgment.
5. HOW WE SHARE INFORMATION
We do not sell personal information. We share information only in limited circumstances:
Service providers. We engage trusted vendors for hosting (Amazon Web Services), AI model processing, payment processing (Stripe), authentication, and analytics. These providers have limited access to information as needed to perform their functions and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations. Business customers may request our list of subprocessors that process their uploaded personal data.
Legal requirements. We may disclose information where required by law or to protect our rights, property, or safety.
Business transfers. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, subject to the protections described here.
Aggregated or anonymized data. We may use and share de-identified or aggregated information that does not identify you.
6. DATA PROCESSING AND BUSINESS CUSTOMERS
Where we process personal data contained in User Content on behalf of a business customer, we act as a processor under that customer's instructions, and the customer is the controller. Business customers may enter into our Data Processing Addendum, which includes the Standard Contractual Clauses for international transfers and governs such processing.
7. COOKIES
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you logged in, analyze usage, and improve performance. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may limit functionality.
8. DATA SECURITY
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including: hosting on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in the United States (region us-east-1); encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest; role-based and least-privilege access controls; credential and secrets management; logical separation of customer environments; and logging and monitoring of production systems. Payment card data is handled by our PCI-compliant payment processor (Stripe) and is not stored by Splattr. We maintain incident-response procedures and will notify affected parties of a personal data breach as required by applicable law. No system can guarantee absolute security.
9. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal data; to object to or restrict certain processing; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do not sell personal information); and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise these rights, contact help@splattr.ai. We may verify your identity before responding and will respond within the time required by applicable law.
10. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS
Splattr is based in the United States, and your information may be processed in the United States. Where we transfer personal data subject to the GDPR, UK GDPR, or Swiss law from the EEA, United Kingdom, or Switzerland to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on appropriate safeguards, including the Standard Contractual Clauses, as further described in our Data Processing Addendum for business customers. We do not transfer personal data to infrastructure located in the People's Republic of China.
11. DATA RETENTION
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, and resolve disputes. User Content is deleted or anonymized on account deletion or when no longer needed for operational purposes, subject to routine backups and legal requirements.
12. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
The Service is not directed to individuals under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we learn we have collected such data, we will delete it.
13. CHANGES AND CONTACT
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically; the revised version will be posted with an updated effective date. For questions, contact Splattr, Inc. at help@splattr.ai.
